Passover, also called Pesach, is a major Jewish holiday for Rabbinical Judaism, Karaite Judaism, and Samaritanism. It is one of the Three Pilgrimage Festivals that celebrates the Israelites’ exodus from slavery in Biblical Egypt. As an Ashkenazi Jewish person, Yanivs’s family history dates back to prepolish times and Prussia, so we felt we should hold out an olive branch and wish him and our readers a Happy Passover. We think it would be good if ALL of our readers were to wish him a Happy Passover on his Twitter account @SFUjessica.

We know it is especially important at this time to wish the Jewish people well. We take our lead from Jessica Yaniv Simpson himself. Tolerance to all religions—what a great example Yaniv is of this.

We should all learn about religious tolerance from Yaniv, and we are doing our bit to raise those Jewish voices this Passover.
